Profile: James
played his 50th game for the club in round 3 of this season.
James originally joined the Bunyips back in the late
1990’s and played a few seasons mostly in B grade with a
couple of games in A grade due to his attacking approach to
batting. In season 2001-02 James farewelled the club and
state to pursue his professional career. Following a
successful career path that led him from mainland Australia
to the United States reaching the position of Finance
Director with a large wine business, James’ yearning for
his home state, it’s lifestyle and most importantly his
beloved Bunyips, led him to take up a position with a
well-known Tasmanian winery when the opportunity arose.
Making a welcome return to the Bunyips after an eight year
hiatus, James is still a bit rusty from spending a number of
years in the primitive USA where cricket is an unknown
artform among the natives. We are sure James will soon be
scoring those fifties off 30 odd balls that he is famous
for, and the reflexes dusted off that he showed taking
spectacular catches at first slip back in his hey-day.
