The
Longley Cricket Club is a member of the Huon
Channel Cricket Association. Our home ground is Sandfly Oval,
just a minute's drive from the Longley International Hotel. Our
club has about 50 playing members, and we are fielding three teams
in the HCCA this season (2008-2009).

Our
Club's atmosphere is fantastic. The clubrooms, though very old,
have been cared for and refurbished over the past few years, and
to many of us they are a home away from home. With ice cold beer
on tap, large projector television for the sporting events, new
bathroom facilities, and a dedicated committee
ensuring that everything runs smoothly, Longley Cricket Club has
become one of the most comfortable clubs in our Association.
We
are a friendly bunch, and everyone is welcome.
Training for Season
2008-2009
Training
is held at Sandlfy Oval (commencing Thursday 2nd October) every
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, starting at 5:30pm.
If
you are interested in playing outdoor cricket in a friendly but
competitive club, come along to a training session and check us
out. With a diverse group of players from all across the Hobart
and Channel area, Longley Cricket Club has that 'atmosphere' that
makes it just a great place to hang out. We play to win, but we
also understand that we're playing cricket to have fun. Our Club
has a reputation of friendly competitiveness, and our off-field
hospitality is second to none.
